Bronze medal, Hobie 16 World Championship. I learnt how to sail on Hobie 16's when someone thought I was the right weight to be there crew. At first I hated the idea of sailing as I was a fishing nut. Once we went out in windy, rough conditions and we capsized a few times - I was hooked. We trained nearly every day for months and months, it was my first taste of international competition.

Coming 3rd in the SP games held in Tahiti whilst representing PNG was a very proud moment for me. I had only been sailing for a year or so and it was a huge eye opener. I have been selected to represent the country again in 2027 at the same venue!
